The Manager adopts a proactive and comprehensive approach towards environmental management and seeks to enhance the environmental performance of its buildings. Initiatives to improve energy performance include the adoption of new technologies, optimisation of energy consumption and utilisation of renewable energy sources. The Manager continues to encourage tenants to reduce their carbon footprint.
Environmental Management
The Manager’s approach to environmental management focuses on optimising the use of resources and minimising the environmental impact of its portfolio and operations.
The Manager has a comprehensive framework that measures Keppel REIT’s performance against its key material metrics. In addition, the Manager aligns its environmental management strategies with standards such as ISO 14001:2015. All relevant legal and voluntary environmental policies are reviewed on a regular basis. Employees are also encouraged to report any instances of non-compliance with environmental regulations and policies.

Sustainability Benchmarks
Keppel REIT’s properties have excellent environmental features and have received certifications such as the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) by the US Green Building Council, as well as the Platinum Award under Building and Construction Authority's (BCA) Green Mark scheme.
Out of Keppel REIT's portfolio of 13 properties, 121 of them are green-certified and all of its Singapore assets have achieved the Green Mark Platinum or BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy certifications by the Building and Construction Authority. All of Keppel REIT’s assets in Australia have been assessed under the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS), which is a rating system designed to gauge a building’s impact on the environment. The majority of Keppel REIT's properties in Australia have achieved NABERS Energy rating of 5-star and above.
1. Except for 2 Blue Street which achieved practical completion on 3 April 2023. It is designed to achieve the 5-star Green Star Design & As Built Rating by the Green Building Council of Australia and is currently pending certification.
